STEWART MOUNTAIN TRAIL INFORMATION

Trail Access Update

ALERT

I received information that a couple of riders were riding at Stewart Mtn a couple of weeks ago and were riding on trail #5 when the ground gave in. They were able to get the horse out after some time and after cutting a vine maple tree. They were experienced riders and were prepared with ropes and so on, so that helped. Rider and horse were not hurt. The trail is not passable!

Remember that trails #5 and 7 are not safe for horses please stay off of these trails. Also trail #6 is not really horse safe. I know some riders have gone on trail 6, that trail is very narrow and continues to climb and climb but it's not the safest trail to be on. Please pass the word around so no one gets hurt.

Sharon plans to put up a sign by the trail head but we need to put up some signs by the trails. I will see if Sharon can also do this later.

If you see any problems with any of the trails anywhere, please let me know so I can pass the word around.
