SAXON TRAIL INFORMATION

Trail Access Update

Saxon trails are currently open. Parking is an issue due to the Saxon Road re-route. More information on parking will be posted when the road work is complete.

Just a reminder regarding Saxon: If you go to Saxon you can only go thru the small gate that has a combination lock. You can not go thru the gate straight up or around it from the hatchery.

When Longview Timber took over we talked to them, they plan to keep the ecology blocks as is and do not want a lot of people riding at Saxon. They said when the fire danger is level 3 then they will close it down and put up an orange sign stating it's closed due to fire danger. Please respect this so that we do not lose our privilege to ride at Saxon. We are keeping in close contact with Longview Timber. They will post it in the newspaper when closed due to fire danger.

Since the gate straight up is closed, to do the 10 mile loop from the small gate, you can ride to the red gate to make the loop, if you decide to ride to Skookum creek you need to back track to get back to the small gate.

Remember this is private land and we have been given the privilege to ride at Saxon, do not abuse it otherwise we will lose it completely.
