COVID-19 Cancellations, Postponements, Closures

Whatcom Chapter BCH Annual Fundraiser Auction POSTPONED TO APRIL 17, 2021

Your auction committee is still hard at work. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions the auction committee made the hard decision to postpone our fundraising auction scheduled for November 14th.  The auction has been scheduled for April 17, 2021.

Thank you to everyone that donated, we appreciate all your support and hope you will continue to support your Chapter.  We will continue to store the donations until our auction date.  This is not what we wanted, but based on the circumstances, it was the best decision at this time.  So, mark your calendars April 17, 2021 at the Log Show Museum. Third time is the charm right?

Salmon Fest Ride Cancelled

With regret, the Salmon Fest Ride scheduled for October is cancelled.  Both Phase 2 and Phase 3 limit outdoor gatherings to 50 people max.  The salmon is in the freezer and will keep just fine until spring, so maybe we could combine the cookout with the Easter Ride (Spring Salmon Fest Ride?) or schedule a new date for next year.

Whatcom Conservation District Small Farm Expo Scheduled for April 4 will be Online Only:  In response to the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and current Whatcom Health Department recommendations, the in-person Small Farm Expo event on April 4th will now be an online learning experience.  Please contact Aneka Sweeney at 360-526-2381 x103 if you would like to inquire about a refund.

DNR Closing Public Lands to Recreation Activities

In order to stop the spread of COVID-19, all public lands managed by the Department of Natural Resources (nearly 6 million acres) will be closed to the public through at least April 8.
